winter cleaning

i have a habit of making the winter holiday a time to clean out my office space (work and home) and generally 'flush-out' the old and prepare for the new.
today i decided to tackle my work office space. wow!
i finally decided to dump a whole family of technology books that date back to the late 90s and early 2000s. lots of things like "intro to javascript" and "VB6 [fill in the blank here]", etc. actually cleared over two shelves in my office book space. kinda felt good!
of course, that just makes room for the piles of year 2005+ books that i've collected on topics like XML, CSS, Atom, RDF, HTTP/REST, Squid, etc.
